Welcome to my inaugural blog post! My name is Carrie Holley-Hurt and I’m a holistic health coach. I’ve spent most of my life being overweight and exhausted. In my early twenties I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and by the time I reached my mid-thirties, I had three autoimmune diagnoses, no energy, and a feeling of despair. I managed to take care of my family, work 40 plus hours a week, and have some sort of social life, but I was drowning. That’s when I decided that enough was enough, and I found a health coach who helped me transform my health. And now, I want to help you do the same. I feel that I have been released from prison and I don’t want to leave anyone behind. No one should feel trapped by lack of energy or illness. We should not be “living too short and dying too long” as Dr. Wentz puts it.

My passion is to help you stop feeling held back by your body and start enjoying your life, your body, and your awesomeness. I know what it’s like to live without energy, to feel that your body is working against you, and to worry what your future will look like if you feel this bad now. I did not want to be a forty-year-old in the body of an eighty-year-old, but really who does? I’ve been there, and I never want to feel that way again. And I don’t want you to feel that way either. As a holistic health coach, I help you look past the fog of poor health to identify clear and concise goals and equip you with the tools to meet them. This isn’t a plan so you can quickly lose weight and this isn’t a gimmicky program to give you a quick shot of energy. This is a transformative process that will restore the lost connection between you and your body so that you can set off for a lifetime of health. Interested? Thank you Erika! Feel free to let me know what kinds of things you are interested in.
Thank you for all the suggestions you gave me a couple weeks back. I haven’t seemed to take as much pain medication for migraines! I appreciate your advice.
That’s so good to hear! Thank you for letting me know!
